“Halloween All Year“ at Smith and Lens Gallery in Bay St. Louis Mississippi features selected prints and puppets that celebrate my fascination with stories, particularly the ones where the voice of the subconscious is speaking so plainly. Children’s stories especially give me license to dwell in that theatrical world of talking animals, heavenly deities, and other impossible beings which often become metaphors for the inexplicable, sometimes terrifying behavior of real human beings. This show also celebrates the release of my newest intaglio project; a narrative graphic tryptic engraved and etched on copper called “Halloween“, loosely inspired by current events as seen through the lens of an imaginative child’s dream.
